ESPN Crew Praises Ryan Elvin’s Essay About His Dad

For the second-straight game, the ESPN+ broadcast crew of Matt Pedersen and Phi Slama Jama point guard Reid Gettys heaped praise on an essay and its writer.

Ryan Elvin wrote a poignant essay on losing his father shortly before the 2021-22 season. While Ryan was at the free throw line, Pedersen brought up the essay.
