After the Memphis game, Kelvin Sampson said that he never intended to play Marcus Sasser, despite media reports to the contrary. While a “college basketball source” said Sasser had a “good chance” to play in the AAC Tournament title game, the report was premature, reported moments after the Cincinnati game ended on Saturday.
