The Coogs raced out to an 11-0 lead over USF and increased it to 23-10 before the Bulls fought back to get within a point at 24-23. But like they’ve done all season, the Cougars regained their focus and went on a 17-3 run to put the game away.
Despite a combined 7 of 30 shooting night from Corey Davis (4/13), Armoni Brooks (2/9), and Cedrick Alley Jr (1/8), the Cougars were never threatened in the second-half. A big reason was the continued improvement of DeJon Jarreau, who shot 5/6 from the floor and scored 17 points in just 21 minutes.
The win brings the Cougars to 26-1 on the year and 13-1 in AAC play.
