The top-ranked Houston Cougars honored seniors Darius Bowser, Reggie Chaney, and Marcus Sasser on Thursday night with a pregame tribute. Each player received bear hugs from Kelvin Sampson and big cheers from the crowd when they were introduced.
Sampson started tearing up during Bowser’s and Chaney’s introduction but lost it when Marcus Sasser reached him for the hug.
Student manager Laith Akhras was also introduced during the ceremony. All Houston Basketball student managers received an NIL deal from HOUNIL earlier in the day.
