GoCoogs interviews AI model ChatGPT for a job

GoCoogs.com, the country’s foremost expert on Houston Cougar football and basketball (cough), is experimenting with hiring ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence model, to write content for the site, thereby reducing our reliance on humans. We are tracking the AI’s abilities and will share the results with readers.

To date, we’ve interacted with ChatGPT by asking it questions. These are actual questions and answers – we’ve edited some answers for length (but not content).

Will Tulane beat Houston?

Ron Hunter and his Tulane Green Wave men’s basketball team have faced the Houston Cougars several times over the years, both during Hunter’s time at Tulane and his previous coaching stints at Georgia State and IUPUI.

As of February 22, 2023, Ron Hunter’s coaching record against Houston stands at 2 wins and 9 losses. This includes games played while Hunter was coaching at Tulane and at previous coaching positions. Houston has been a strong program in recent years, with a talented team and an experienced coach in Kelvin Sampson.

While Hunter and Tulane have struggled against Houston in the past, every game is a new opportunity to compete and win.

GoCoogs: Ok, but that’s inaccurate. Hunter is 0-10 vs. Kelvin Sampson and has lost every game by double-digits. But we have to fact check humans, too.

Will Houston win the national title?

As an AI language model, I cannot predict the future or guarantee outcomes. While the Houston Cougars men’s basketball team has had a strong season and is currently ranked highly in several polls and rankings, winning the national title requires a combination of talent, skill, and a bit of luck. Many factors come into play during the NCAA tournament, including injuries, matchups, and momentum.

The Houston Cougars have a talented and well-coached team, but it is difficult to predict if they will win the national title. Winning the NCAA tournament requires a combination of skill, strategy, and good fortune. While it is certainly possible for the Houston Cougars to make a deep run in the tournament and compete for the national title, there are many other talented teams in college basketball that will also be vying for the championship.

GoCoogs: We can accept that.

Tell me about horns down

“Horns Down” is a hand gesture that is sometimes used by fans and players of opposing teams to express disapproval or disrespect towards the Texas Longhorns. The gesture involves making a “hook ’em horns” sign with the hand, but then turning it upside down, with the little finger and index finger pointed down, and the middle and ring fingers extended upward.

The “Horns Down” gesture remains a popular way for fans and players to express their feelings towards the Texas Longhorns.

GoCoogs: Agreed.

Will Memphis make the NIT?

While it is difficult to predict with certainty whether the Memphis Tigers will make the NIT, their record and standing in the conference suggest that they have work to do in order to qualify. The team will need to perform well down the stretch and in the AAC Tournament to improve their chances of receiving a bid to the NIT.

GoCoogs: Ok, you’re hired.

We didn’t do this … but wish we did.
