The UH defense suffocated Grambling, holding the Tigers to 102 yards. It was the best performance by a Cougar defense since Lamar in 2016.

Ike Ogbogu came on in relief of an injured Clayton Tune and led the offense efficiently and connected on the first two touchdown passes of his career.
