Stephon Johnson wants to be more precise in his routes

In 2023, Stephon “Boogie” Johnson went down in Cougar lore with a 49-yard Hail Mary TD catch as time expired to give the Coogs their first-ever Big 12 win. Where most players have multiple action shots on their UHCougars.com profile page, Boogie has just the one. Him right after the catch.

This season, Boogie wants to improve. He caught just 24 balls in 12 games last season, a number that could easily be higher in 2024. He’s focused on his releases and dictating terms to defensive backs.
