UH beats SMU, Now On The Verge Of An AAC Championship

Houston cruised by SMU, 75-61. Fabian White, Jr. continued his sizzling play, scoring 21 points with nine rebounds and three blocks. Josh Carlton had 19 points and eight rebounds while Jamal Shead had 11 assists. In two games vs. SMU, Shead had 23 assists this season.

Improbably, Houston is now 13-2 in AAC play (24-4 overall) and only needs a win or an SMU loss in the final week to clinch the American Athletic Conference championship. UH has three games left while SMU has two more scheduled.
