Entering his senior season and his second in the Houston program, expectations on Conner Weigman are heightened.
Weigman has led the UH program for 18 months, using his on-the-field talent while working to become more vocal. Last year, Dean Connors said that Weigman was already the guy by the time February drills began, but Weigman believes it took until Fall camp for him to feel like the team leader. Weigman led the team to a 6-0 record on the road and 10 wins, capped off with a Texas Bowl victory.
Tuesday, GoCoogs spoke to Weigman about leadership, his role with the team, and mentoring the younger quarterbacks.
