Lot of numbers, lot of situations here. Let’s go beyond the box score after the SMU game:
- For the third time in 4 tries, UH goes up to Dallas and gets it handed to us by SMU. In 7 seasons, three different SMU coaches have done that to three different UH coaches.
- In those 3 losses, SMU has outscored us 155-89. The 3 teams that have beaten us at Ford Stadium have a record, outside the UH games, of 13-18 while the 3 UH teams are 21-10 outside of SMU games. There’s no reason for it to happen except that we are plain mediocre on the road.
