UH transfers love the “tight end-friendly” offense

UH football players gathered in the locker room at TDECU, waiting to meet with the media. Players had their own stations, and media selected players to chat with. After talking to the press, players walked into the club level to take publicity photos and update their online bios.

Two players I enjoyed talking to are transfer tight ends Maliq Carr and Jayden York. Carr began his college career at Purdue in 2020 and then spent three years at Michigan State (he also played basketball for Sparty in 2022). York transferred to Houston after four years at Texas Tech and is expected to be the starter in the first game.

Carr and York have each had four head coaches in their college career (five if you count the two weeks between Jonathan Smith’s hiring at State and Carr entering the portal).
