Welch signed in the later period – February 2020. He is only the second-ever player to be at the Touchdown Club of Houston’s “Final Table” for their three major award banquets for high school players: Pre-Season, Scholar-Athlete, & Player of the Year. The only other player was Andrew Luck.
Although a QB at Dickinson, he is expected to play corner at UH.
