Sunday night at 8 p.m. – Recent UH signees Keisean Henderson and Paris Melvin join Talkin’ Bout Them Cougars. They intend to start a trend of big-time Houston-area kids signing with the Cougars.
Keisean Henderson was a unanimous five-star prospect out of Legacy the School of Sport Sciences. 247 rated him as the 1 No. 1 recruit nationally, while ESPN had him as the No. 4 recruit. Coached by Hall of Famer Michael Bishop, he accounted for 90 touchdowns in high school (76 passing, 14 rushing). Most of his best stats came as a senior: he threw for 3,821 yards with 45 passing touchdowns, completed 73.7% of his passes, and rushed for 10 touchdowns. Keisean had offers from every major conference, including the Big 12 (7), SEC (10), Big Ten (5), and ACC (6).
Paris Melvin is a legit two-way player who was rated a four-star athlete from Cy Springs in Houston. 247 rated him as the sixth-best athlete in the 2026 class and the No. 17 player in Texas. Paris played CB, QB, RB, and WR this year. Paris is a natural playmaker: He rushed for 1,927 yards in 36 career high school games and 28 touchdowns, and caught 61 passes for 1,002 yards and 14 receiving touchdowns. Paris had 10 offers from the Big 12, 7 from the SEC, and six from the ACC.
