SPOTLIGHT: Adonis Friloux – DT
The Hahnville Tigers improved to 2-0 with a 34-13 victory over the Mandeville Skippers (great nickname). Hahnville has given up just 13 points in two games thanks to senior leader Adonis Friloux.
“It all starts up front. Adonis (Friloux) gets a lot of the attention, and rightfully so,” Hahnville coach Nick Saltaformaggio told NOLA.com.
Here, Friloux talks about the game plan against Mandeville and, like a true leader, gives credit to a lot of teammates:

Sofain Massoud – QB
Sofian Massoud had another huge game as Cy Lakes routed Cy Parks, 62-28. The Spartans of Cy Lakes had 30 first downs in 81 snaps.
Massoud ran for just 40 yards but scored 4 TDs. The UH commit was also 23 of 35 passing for 380 yards and 2 TDs.
One of his TD passes was 54 yards and he ran for 40 yards on 14 carries. Here’s the MaxPreps highlights video of the Cy Lakes win.

Kendal Septs – OG
Septs and FB Austin dropped to 0-3, losing to Seven Lakes 38-14. No stats available for the guard Septs.

Derek Bowman – OT
Magnolia and Derek Bowman defeated the Montgomery Bears on 9/13/19 by a score of 42-10.
Stats: None for Bowman specifically, but Magnolia rushed for an impressive 280 yards on 41 carries and 6.8 YPC. MaxPreps Highlight Video
Next Up: A week off as well and then Magnolia will host Waller on 09/27/19.
Reginald Johnson – WR
Southern Lab was beaten by Madison Prep 21-14 in the Michael Roach Classic. Stats: Johnson returned a punt 54 yards but no other stats are available for Johnson.
Lab hosts McKinley this Friday night at 7 in the Chicken Shack Classic (yes, that’s the awesome name of the game).
Ugonna Nnanna – OT
Another rough week for Arlington Seguin – they slump to 0-3 with another lopsided loss. This week it wasa to Everman by a score of 44-6. Stats: None available for the OT Nnanna.
Next Up: At home on 9/20/19 against Midlothian
Dylan Robinson – WR
Atascocita bounced back from a big loss to Katy by taking out their frustrations on their cake-eating rivals, the Kingwood Mustangs. Robinson caught 7 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown in the 70-10 blowout. Video Highlights | Article: Atascocita Receivers Dominate
The win was Atascocita’s 20th-straight district win. The school currently plays in District 22-6A.
