The UH defense has transformed itself from a year ago. The 2024 unit is giving up 10 points a game less than last year’s squad. Shiel Wood’s 2024 defense has held six of nine opponents to 20 points or less (prior to 2024, UH held 6 of the last 26 opponents to 20 or less).
