Hard-hitting Safety Is Holgorsen’s Latest Transfer
GoCoogs has the scoop: Hasaan Hypolite, a safety at Colorado, will be transferring to Houston later this summer. He will have three years left to play.
Hypolite was penciled in as a starter for the Buffs in 2019 but was dismissed from the program last month for a violation of team rules.

Hypolite played one game for CU-Boulder. UH recruited him heavily out of Hightower; he also received offers from Texas Tech, Baylor, SMU and others before choosing Colorado.
“I think he’s going to be one of our better players in the fall,” head coach Mel Tucker told the Denver Post in April.
He saw action in 11 games last year – almost exclusively on special teams. He reportedly played just three snaps on the defense but is known as a big hitter at the safety position. He is now the team’s 13th defensive transfer this offseason.

Hypolite is the eighth played added in the defensive backfield this offseason, proving just how mismanaged those positions were by the prior staff.
In a tweet announcing his departure from CU, Hypolite said he would be “still knocking heads off” and would be an “offensive coordinator’s worst nightmare.”
