Case Keenum sets the FBS record for total offense

Today, in 2011, #21 Houston beat Marshall on Homecoming 63-28 in one of the most efficient offensive displays in history. Case Keenum threw for 376 yards and six touchdowns, becoming the career leader in FBS in total offense. Keenum was nearly perfect in the first half, completing 19 of 21 passes for 295 yards and four touchdowns.

The six drives where Keenum threw a touchdown pass took just 5:43 combined. He tossed scores to Patrick Edwards, Tyron Carrier, Michael Hayes (twice), Justin Johnson, and E.J. Smith.

Edwards had seven catches for 109 yards, Carrier had seven for 97 yards, and Hayes had three for 90 yards.

UH held the ball for just 17:45 of the game; the eight TD drives required just 39 snaps.

Wearing retro uniforms, the Cougars moved to 7-0 with the win. Before the game, Coach Bill Yeoman, Jim Strong, Jerry Drones, and Bo Burris served as honorary captains.
